Internship Opportunities

 2008 Internships Available!

    Internship's available next summer (2008) in three, 2400 sow farrow to wean PIC multiplier units. The three units reside in Brown, Fairfield, and Highland Counties. Internships would consist of working in both farrowing and breeding divisions under direct supervision of the unit manager. Intern will learn the day to day operations within a sow unit and gain an understanding of the pork industry. Intern will become familiar with not only farrowing techniques, but also gain an in depth understanding of gestation which includes heat checking and artificial insemination. Also option of spending time with the Production Supervisor reviewing wean to finish operations.
