Welcome! The Contract Grower Informational Page has been created to better explain the process to become a contract grower and more importantly a member of our team! It is our hope that through this page you will get a few of your questions answered and become more acquainted with our contract grower program. At the present time, we have over 50 contract grower locations scattered throughout the state. Part of the Heimerl Farms mission statement reads "We also strive to help other Farming families that have the same values as us to reach their goals," and we have many, many families that will account for their success through our contract grower program. -What is a Contract Grower?

A Contract Grower refers to a holstein or swine operation by which a farm, farming family, or individual has contacted us to lease an existing, or future establishing facility to us for the purpose of producing pork or holstein products. The individual, farmer, farm family, etc. provides all property (land), labor, and furnishes funds for the new facility (if one isn't previously established). Heimerl Farms Ltd. will provide all transportation of pigs and feed, any and all medications to ensure a healthy operation, and support along the way to guide you in proper techniques and methods to producing high quality pork for us. Your job is to care for the animals and tend to their needs each and every day and maintain your facility in a respectable condition.

Please review the following steps below to become a prospective contract grower.

The first step in becoming a contract grower is to notify us of your interest. To do this, we ask that you fill out the online form which can be obtained by clicking here. We will be in contact with you shortly once your information has been received.
The next step in becoming a contract grower involves meeting with one of our swine supervisors to physically view a barn similar to one you have expressed an interest in.
The final step is to inspect and approve the location of your facility and issue a building date.
